Hand Stamped Cards

Handsomely Suited Birthday

Products from the Handsomely Suited Suite make it simple to create masculine cards.  I used the Handsomely Suited stamp set and Suite & Tie dies (purchase as a Bundle and save 10%) to create this easy "guy" card.  Love the paisley print in the Well Suited Designer Series Paper.  The greeting was stamped with Basic Gray ink onto Basic White cardstock and popped out using the Rectangle Stitched dies.

I also used a piece of the Well Suited Designer Series Paper to cover the envelope flap for some added zing.

Fresh Freesia Blossom in Bloom

I used everything Fresh Freesia (new In Color) for this get well card.  The Blossom in Bloom stamp was inked in Fresh Freesia and stamped on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  So Saffron ink was used for the center of the flowers and a sweet bow was added with the Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon.  This was a quick and easy card to create and pop in the mail to someone feeling under the weather.

Welcome to the We BEE Stamping Team Blog Hop - Everything Masculine

Do you get "stuck" creating masculine cards?  It seems we have plenty of ideas for feminine cards, but hit a brick wall when it comes to creating masculine cards.    Don't reinvent the wheel when creating "dude" cards.  You can easily take a layout you like and "man it up" for the guys in you life.  Keep the following in mind to create easy masculine cards-

  • Use a more masculine stamp set.
  • Choose less feminine colors.  Think stronger/deeper colors.
  • Designer Series Paper with a plaid or strip pattern will add a pop of interest.
  • Go ahead and add embellishments. Just use a different type like enamel dots and twine.

For this masculine card I used Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper.  Yep, very feminine Designer Series Paper, but this collection has a very bold and deep color stripe - Designer Series Papers has TWO sides.

The Handsomely Suited stamp set was my number one choice to create a masculine card.  I also used the new Basic Borders dies to create a unique card front.  I used the die on the front of the cardstock and then added a piece of DSP on the inside.

I really like the greeting in this set and changed it up to make a birthday card.

I used the same design/layout to create a feminine card.  Again, I picked a feminine stamp set.  The Dressed to Impress stamp set, All Dressed Up Dies, Hand Penned Designer Series Paper and the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

Happiest of Birthdays

I was excited to see that the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set made it into the new annual catalog.  This stamp set is great for birthday greetings for all ages and gender.  This emboss resist technique card will be going to a great-niece turning 3-years old.  The card layout is simple, but the colors scream happy.

On one card, I flicked rubbing alcohol just for the fun of it and distressed the edges of the cardstock.  One layout, two different ways.

Supplies used:  Happiest of Birthdays stamp set, Thick Basic White, Shimmery White cardstock, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Magenta Madness, Versa Mark inks, Stitched So Sweetly dies, Blending Brushes, Opal Rounds, White Embossing Powder, Water Painters
