We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop-Saying Goodbye Is Hard To Do

Welcome and thank you for "buzzing" over to my blog today!  This blog hop is all about saying good-bye to favorites from the current Stampin' Up! catalog.  I'm sad to learn that some of my favorite items are going away, but excited to know that there's new and exciting items just around the corner.  The new Stampin' Up! catalog will launch May 4th.

Today's card is all about the Arrange a Wreath Bundle.  I'm really sad to see this bundle leave the Stampin' Up! family - it's so versatile.  This bundle can be used for Valentine's Day, Easter, Fall/Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, wedding/anniversary - just about any occasion.  This is the Easter card I made for my daughter and son-in-law.

I layered Basic White cardstock onto Basic Black and mounted on a So Saffron cardbase.  I used Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive for the wreath.  The Easter eggs were stamped with Highland Heather and Rococo Rose (retiring In-Color).  I added a bow using Playing with Patterns (Coastal Cabana) ribbon, which is also retiring.  The greeting was popped out with the Stitched Nested Labels dies, yes, another retiring item.  My greatest disappointment is that the Subtle embossing folder is also retiring.  This is my "go to" embossing folder.  I love this embossing folder and will really miss it.

Since I didn't use all of the Easter eggs on the front of the card, I decided to add them to the inside of the card.

Itty Bitty Greetings Hey, Friend

This card is my favorite from the Butterfly Bouquet Class I held a few weeks ago.  Sadly, the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper is no longer available but you can create the same stunning look using the Butterfly Brilliance stamp.

The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set that is on the retire list.  The Basic White panel was embossed using the Subtle embossing folder.  I'm really going to miss this embossing folder.  Click on the link below to grab your favorites before they're gone.

Bloom & Grow Hello

It's time to bid a fond farewell to the Bloom & Grow stamp set.  The image was stamped on Basic White cardstock using Memento ink and colored with Seaside Spray Stampin' Blends.  The Ornate Boarders dies created the cute boarder.  So sad to say good-bye to the Seaside Spray In-Color.

No Stamping Butterfly Bijou Card

It's time for another no stamping cards.  I used the exclusive Butterfly Bijou 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to make this slimline card.  The butterflies are from the DSP and the Brilliant Wings die cops them out all at one time.  Talk about a time saver!   I used the Playful Alphabet to crop the letters for Hello.

Go through your die cuts and create a no stamping card - it's easy!

Sending you Happy Thoughts!

Peaceful Moments Sympathy Card

I love creating cards for just about any occasion; birthdays, anniversaries, or my favorite - just because.  These are "happy" reasons to send someone a handmade card.  Sympathy cards are a necessity of life and at times can be difficult to create because it's not a "happy" occasion.  I kept this sympathy card clean and simple with Basic White cardstock, stamping and some ribbon.  Unfortunately, a childhood friends mother recently passed away and this card will be going in the mail to him and his wife.

I used the Peaceful Moments and Poppy Parade stamp sets.  I stamped the poppies using Stazon black in and colored the poppies using a Seaside Spray Stampin' Write Markers.  I finished it off by adding Seaside Scalloped Linen Thread ribbon.

Have a wonderful day!
