Thankful Nature's Harvest

I used the Nature's Harvest and Time of Giving stamp sets for this card.  I first inked the flowers with Versa Mark ink and then with Early Espresso ink.  I stamped onto a piece of the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper, applied clear embossing powder and set with a heat tool.

The card base is Crumb Cake stamped with Versa Mark ink.  The greeting is from the Time of Giving stamp set and was popped out with the Seasonal Label Dies.  I added a Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dot.

Embossed Linen Paper Technique

I offer a monthly Technique Class and this was one of the cards we made using the Linen Specialty Paper in the annual catalog.  I ordered this paper because it was new and different and then when I received it, I thought what in the world am I going to do with it.  I know I'm not alone in thinking that.  So, I experimented (more like trial and error) with different ways to use this paper.  The first choice was to stamp on it (again trail and error) and I even figured out that you can die cut the Linen paper.  Click here if you want to see that post.

I figured if you can die cut Linen paper, you should be able to dry emboss it, right?  Again, trial and error, but it is possible to emboss Linen paper if you attach the Linen paper, it's adhesive backed, to cardstock BEFORE running it through your die cutting machine AND use a 3D embossing folder.

I used the Time of Giving stamp set and coordinating dies, Giving Gifts to finish the card.

We BEE Stamping Team Blog Hop - Favorite Bundle

Welcome to the We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop and thank you for joining me today.

This month's Blog Hop was a tough one for me.  There are so many great Stampin' Up! bundles in the new Mini Catalog that I had a difficult time choosing my favorite!  I ended up going with the Frosted Gingerbread bundle because the bundle, and the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite, has so many possibilities.

This card features the Frosted Gingerbread Stamp set and Gingerbread dies.  The stamp set and dies are offered as a bundle, a 10% savings.

Do you notice anything "different" with the stamped bells?  I inked the stamp with Real Red ink and stamped onto Linen Specialty paper and popped out the image using the Gingerbread dies.  Who knew, right?  The cardbase is Old Olive and coordinates beautifully with the Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Series Paper.  I added a simple knot bow using the Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon.  I love the Sending You Peppermint Kisses greeting.

Here's a close up shot where you can see the texture of the Linen paper.  I made another card using the ornament stamp.  "Auntie Leigh" will be sending these Christmas cards to her twin great-nieces, Skylar and Riley.

Peppermint kisses are included on the inside of the card using Stampin' Write Markers.

This Gingerbread & Peppermint card appeared on my blog August 10th.  There are no dies to crop the trees from the Gingerbread DSP, but fussy cutting did the trick.

Let's move away from the Folk Art look of this suite and see what else the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite of products has to offer.  This card is one of my non-traditional Christmas color favorites, at least so far.

I used the snowflake mask from the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks to spritz a Fresh Freesia background on watercolor paper.  The snowflake is from the Gingerbread dies. The Designer Series Paper, Penguin Playmates, is FREE during Sale-a-Bration.

Happy Holidays with Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper

Have you gotten the FREE Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper yet?  If not, then what are you waiting for?  This Designer Series Paper is so stinkin' cute!  I love all the possible color combinations this Designer Series Paper has to offer, plus it's FREE with a qualifying purchase, but only until September 30th.

I used the A Wish for Everything stamp set for a greeting on the front of my card.  I wanted to use a small greeting so it wouldn't distract from the cute images.

Happy Holidays

I used the Christmas to Remember stamp set for the inside greeting.
